Coltan Mining Threatening Wildlife

Recent reports from the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) indicate that local populations of many endangered species are dwindling because of high demand for radioactive mineral called coltan.

Wildlife Conservation Society to offer grants for Bronx River Clean up and restoration.-The Bronx RiverWildlife Conservation Society (WCS) recently announced a new initiative, the Bronx River-Bronx Zoo Grant Program, that will provide small grants to nonprofit organizations for work supporting the restoration and rejuvenation of the Bronx River ecosystem.
