Flushing, N.Y. – It may be cold outside but Winter Wildlife Weeks will be heating up the Queens Zoo. Parents choose from two exciting programs that are designed to teach their elementary schoolchildren about the wonderful world of wild animals. Kids will get a behind-the-scenes tour of the zoo and take part in various games and activities that are sure to help alleviate any winter blahs.
Both programs, Wildlife Adventure in December and Wildlife Wonders in February, are designed for children ages 6 to 10 and include multiple sessions that focus on different zoo animals. Wildlife Adventure
Kids discover the natural world around them as they meet a different animal group each day. Zoo instructors lead behind-the-scenes tours, and children take part in arts and crafts and other activities.

Wildlife Wonders
Kids embark on an exciting adventure to discover what zoo animals do during the winter months. Children head outside to meet various critters, learn how our keepers take care of them, and then warm up inside with arts and crafts and animal presentations.

All sessions are 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The Queens Zoo is located at 53-51 111th Street in Flushing Meadow’s Corona Park and is open 365 days a year. Zoo hours are 10am to 4:30 pm weekdays, daily. Admission is $6.00 for adults, $2.25 for seniors, $2.00 for children ages 3-12, and free for children under 3.
