The Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens announced a gift from Hardin Construction Company valued at over $125,000.
In their ongoing green practice, Hardin Construction Company, LLC donated kiosks and trash receptacles to the Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens that would have otherwise ended up in a landfill. T.J. Wright, Senior Project Manager at Hardin is a patron of the Central Florida Zoo and knew that this donation would be extremely helpful to the Zoo. Wright contacted two of Hardin’s subcontractors, Neff Rental in Sanford and Allstate Paving Inc. participated in the effort by donating their services in the transportation and off-loading of the items.
“The donation of kiosks and trash receptacles will enhance the grounds at the Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens and allow us to allocate the money that would have been used to purchase these products to our Get Your Wild On! Tiger Campaign,” said Joe Montisano, CEO. “We are thrilled that Mr. Wright and Hardin Construction thought of the Zoo.”
“We are proud to support the Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens and their mission to provide environmental and conservation education for both children and adults in Central Florida,” said Steve Rivers, Hardin Construction Senior Vice President. “This donation is a part of Hardin’s green effort to consistently remain environmentally conscious and look for creative ways to recycle unused items whenever possible on all of our projects,” Rivers added.
